The Spanish government is implementing new regulations on work hour control to prevent precarious situations and promote the well-being of each individual. What are the important points proposed by the new law?<\/h4>\nThe draft bill, still in the review phase, proposes that:\n\n
  • The digital registration should be mandatory.<\/li>\n
  • The system used must be unalterable and traceable.<\/li>\n\n
  • Real-time access for inspection. \nThe data is stored for 4 years.<\/li>\n
  • It is mandatory for all companies, regardless of their size or sector of activity.<\/li>\n
  • Biometric systems cannot be used.<\/li>\n
  • Companies that fail to comply will be fined between 700 and 10,000 euros.<\/li>\n

    What are the main changes compared to the current law?<\/h4>

    Currently, companies are required to keep track of working hours, but it is not mandatory to do so in a digital and unalterable manner. This has allowed for the recording of hours on paper or Excel files, which can be easily modified. <\/p>

    With this new law, this will no longer be possible, as it will be a mandatory digital registry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    How can companies prepare themselves?<\/h4>

    Although the law has not yet been approved, everything indicates that it will be in the coming months. That’s why companies can get ahead and adapt right now: <\/p>

    The solution to this new regulation is “Subcriptio<\/a>.” <\/strong>An application designed for time tracking and employee management.<\/p>

    Not only is it an application for recording employees’ work hours, but it also allows for additional functions such as vacation management, document exchange between employee and employer, and signing them.
